PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

EXPOSURE STANDARDS

No data available for the compounded product.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS

Use in an adequately ventilated area. General factory ventilation is normally sufficient. Local exhaust ventilation will be required in confined areas or where natural ventilation is not sufficient to maintain concentrations below exposure limits. In poorly ventilated or confined areas the use of a respirator may be required.

PERSONAL PROTECTION

Wearing of the following protective equipment is recommended:
Safety glasses, goggles or faceshield as appropriate. PVC, neoprene or nitrile rubber gloves.
Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact.

Always wash hands before smoking, eating, drinking or using the toilet. Wash contaminated clothing and protective equipment before storing/re-using. Ensure that safety shower and eye wash bath are readily accessible.

FLAMMABILITY

Will burn if involved in a fire but not considered to be a significant fire risk.

ENVIRONMENT

Avoid contaminating waterways.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS

Polymerisation with considerable heat build up will occur if masses >0.5kg are mixed with amines in uncontrolled conditions.

Ensure that people handling this product are not allergic (sensitive) to epoxy resins.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

Store in cool place and out of direct sunlight. Keep containers closed tightly when not in use.
Do not store in conditions of excessive heat or cold.
Do not interchange "D" plugs between resin and hardener cartridges.

SPILLS AND DISPOSAL

Wear appropriate protective equipment when cleaning up spillage's. Contain spillage using absorbent (soil or sand, sawdust, vermiculite, inert material). Prevent any contamination of drains or waterways. Scrape up and seal in properly labelled drums for disposal. Remove residue from contaminated areas with specific clean-up solution or use water and detergent. Observe local regulations when disposing of waste material.

FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD

No unusual fire or explosion hazards. In case of fire in the surroundings: all extinguishing agents allowed. Fire fighters to wear self-contained breathing apparatus if risk of exposure to vapour or products of combustion.

Hazardous decomposition products of combustion: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, soot and smoke, oxidative products of polymeric material.

Reactivity Data

Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents, mineral acids and epoxy curing agents under uncontrolled conditions.

OTHER SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

Avoid breathing vapour if product is heated.
