Chemical
Anchor Epoxy AH Resin is an epoxy resin that is used in conjunction with
Chemical Anchor Epoxy AH Hardener to form a fast setting chemical anchor
designed for permanently setting bolts, starter bars, threaded rods,
etc.

HEALTH EFFECTS - ACUTE
Swallowed:
Moderately toxic. Ingestion can result in nausea.
Eyes:
A mild eye irritant.
Skin:
Contact with skin may result in irritation. Repeated or prolonged skin
contact may lead to dermatitic effects. Prolonged or repeated exposure
may cause skin sensitization.
Inhaled:
Not normally an inhalation risk due to low vapour pressure at ambient
temperatures.
HEALTH EFFECTS - CHRONIC
Knowledge is based on that of the constituents.
Repeated or prolonged skin contact can cause sensitisation.
Repeated or prolonged skin contact can cause chronic dermatitis.
Repeated and prolonged skin contact may cause irritation.
Swallowed:
Give water to drink. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical
advice.
Eyes:
Immediately irrigate with copious quantity of water for at least 15
minutes. Eyelids to be held open. Seek medical advice if effects
persist.
Skin:
Wash with plenty of soap and water. Seek medical advice if effects
persist. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use.
Inhaled:
Remove victim to fresh air. Allow patient to assume most comfortable
position and keep warm. Recovery should be rapid after removal from
exposure. Keep at rest until fully recovered. Seek medical advice if
effects persist.
First aid facility:
Ensure that eye wash bath is readily accessible.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS
Use in an adequately ventilated area. General factory ventilation is
normally sufficient. Local exhaust ventilation will be required in
confined areas or where natural ventilation is not sufficient to
maintain concentrations below exposure limits. In poorly ventilated or
confined areas the use of a respirator may be required.
PERSONAL PROTECTION
Wearing of the following protective equipment is recommended:
Safety glasses, goggles or faceshield as appropriate. PVC, neoprene or
nitrile rubber gloves.
Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact.
Always wash hands before smoking, eating, drinking or using the
toilet. Wash contaminated clothing and protective equipment before
storing/re-using. Ensure that safety shower and eye wash bath are
readily accessible.
FLAMMABILITY
Will burn if involved in a fire but not considered to be a
significant fire risk.
ENVIRONMENT
Avoid contaminating waterways.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS
Polymerisation with considerable heat build up will occur if masses
>0.5kg are mixed with amines in uncontrolled conditions.
Ensure that people handling this product are not allergic (sensitive)
to epoxy resins.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Store in cool place and out of direct sunlight. Keep containers
closed tightly when not in use.
Do not store in conditions of excessive heat or cold.
Do not interchange "D" plugs between resin and hardener
cartridges.
SPILLS AND DISPOSAL
Wear appropriate protective equipment when cleaning up spillage's.
Contain spillage using absorbent (soil or sand, sawdust, vermiculite,
inert material). Prevent any contamination of drains or waterways.
Scrape up and seal in properly labelled drums for disposal. Remove
residue from contaminated areas with specific clean-up solution or use
water and detergent. Observe local regulations when disposing of waste
material.
FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD
No unusual fire or explosion hazards. In case of fire in the
surroundings: all extinguishing agents allowed. Fire fighters to wear
self-contained breathing apparatus if risk of exposure to vapour or
products of combustion.
Hazardous decomposition products of combustion: carbon dioxide,
carbon monoxide, soot and smoke, oxidative products of polymeric
material.
Reactivity Data
Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents, mineral acids and epoxy
curing agents under uncontrolled conditions.
